The Sands of Time Project, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund has created resources and legacies for future generations through the memories of the people who have lived and worked in the area.
33 interviews have been recorded, 9 plaques have been installed at historical places in Leighton Buzzard and Heath & Reach.

Each plaque offers stories from generations of sand workers, providing meaningful and personal insights to a way of life that has disappeared for ever.
